Lesson focus

Cinzia: The futuro semplice tense is used in four different circumstances. Today we are going to take a look at the first one.
Marco: 1st - to talk about prospective occurrences, especially those meant to take place in the distant future. Please, note that the idea of “distance” refers to the speaker perception. For example
Cinzia: I fondi del governo saranno disponibili dall’inizio del prossimo anno.
Marco: The government’s funds will be available by the beginning of the next year.
Cinzia: Il campionato italiano finirà la terza settimana di maggio.
Marco: The Italian league tournament will end in the third week of May.
Cinzia: Nel futuro i cellulari saranno molto versatili.
Marco: In the future, cell phones will be very versatile.
Cinzia: As we have seen in these examples, these actions are meant to take place in the distant future.
Marco: Very, very easy.

Outro

Marco: That just about does it for today.
Marco: Before we go, we want to tell you about a way to drastically improve your pronunciation.
Cinzia: The voice recording tool...
Marco: Yes, the voice recording tool in the premium learning center...
Cinzia: Record your voice with a click of a button,
Marco: and then play it back just as easily.
Cinzia: So you record your voice, and then listen to it.
Marco: Compare it to the native speakers...
Cinzia: And adjust your pronunciation!
Marco: This will help you improve your pronunciation fast!
Marco: Thank you all!
Cinzia: Grazie a tutti ciao!
