Ciao! Welcome to Italian Weekly Words! This is Ilaria, and today's theme is clothing accessories. |
1. cintura “belt” |
This is interesting. |
Io non uso mai la cintura. “I never use a belt.” |
Really. I think, I use it in all my life maybe three times. I don’t like belts. |
2. sciarpa “scarf” |
Mi piacciono le sciarpe molto lunghe. “I like very long scarfs.” |
Oh… |
3. guanto “glove” |
I have guanto, but wait a second, we don’t usually say guanto, we usually say guanti, the plural because they’re always two, right, usually? So, it’s very rare. Of course, it’s not incorrect, but we usually say guanti “gloves”. |
Questi sono i miei guanti. “These are my gloves.” |
Ti piacciono? “Do you like them?” I don’t really like them. |
4. cappello “hat” |
Posseggo molti cappelli. “I have many hats.” |
5. occhiali “eyeglasses” |
Very nice, I love this item. |
Normalmente porto gli occhiali. “Usually, I use eyeglasses.” |
These are actually my glasses. These are my everyday glasses. Now, I’m wearing contact lenses, actually. |
I hope you enjoyed and let me know in the comments which is your favorite accessory. Ciao! |
