| That's: Come sta tua madre? |

| This Italian sentence literally means “How does your mother stay?” |
| But it translates as “How's your mother?” in English. |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| The pattern is: |
| Sta {state of well-being}. |
| This Italian sentence literally translates as “She stays [state of well-being].” |
| But it means “She’s [state of well-being].” in English. |
